Twelve teams have qualified for the playoffs, and they will be battling it out for a chance to hoist the Stanley Cup. The top three teams in each division automatically qualify for the playoffs, while the remaining two teams from each division will compete in a Wild Card series. The playoffs will begin with the first round, which will be a best-of-seven series. The winners of the first round will advance to the second round, which will also be a best-of-seven series. The winners of the second round will advance to the third round, which will be a best-of-seven series between the Western Conference and Eastern Conference champions. The winner of the third round will advance to the Stanley Cup Finals, which will be a best-of-seven series. The Stanley Cup Finals will begin on June 1st, and the winner will be crowned in mid-June.
